Beast and Belle Walking Through a Doorway

The Beast stands hunched in a doorway with his big cape draped over his shoulders, one clawed hand low by his side and a toothy, slightly shy smile on his face. Belle walks beside him in a simple dress with puffy sleeves, long gloves and flat shoes. Her eyes are closed and her head is tilted a little as she steps forward. Behind them you can see an arched frame and a tiled floor that runs toward the bottom of the page. The Beast has lots of shaggy fur, small horns and big feet with claws, so there is plenty of texture to work on. Try warm browns and golds for his fur, then pick a bright color for Belle's dress so the two characters stand apart. This free printable also works well for talking about contrasts, like rough and smooth or big and small.
