Girl and Scarfed Yak in a Snowy Rose Garden, a Beauty and the Beast Walk
Coloring guide
A smiling girl in a hooded cape trimmed with fur walks along a garden path next to a big, fluffy horned creature that looks like a yak or bison, wearing a chunky knitted scarf. They seem happy together, and her hand rests near its shaggy side. Behind them stand a tiered fountain hung with icicles and a stone archway. Snow-dusted rose bushes fill the corners and small birds perch on bare branches along the top. Shaggy fur, a braided scarf pattern and rose petals give kids lots of small spaces to fill. A deep berry red cape with soft blues and lilacs for the snowy shadows brings out the winter feeling. Print this sheet at home for a fun afternoon activity. - 1Start with the big yak body, head, legs and ears in warm brown, leaving the cream scarf and the light gray areas for later.
- 2Color the girl's flowing cape and hood in bright red, then fill the fur trim, scarf fringe and cape edges with cream.
- 3Fill the girl's dress in bright blue and her boots in warm brown, and add peach skin to her face and hands.
- 4Color the bushes and rose leaves in fresh green and leaf green, add bright red to the roses, and fill the fountain ice with ice blue.
- 5Shade the arch and pillars in light gray and fill the yak's hooves and the bottom edges with dark brown. Optional: add a little darker brown on the yak's shadow side and a soft gray shadow under the girl's cape, and leave the sky and bird areas white.
