Bee on a Fluffy Dandelion Flower

Coloring guide
Perched on top of a round dandelion seed head is a happy little bee with big sparkling eyes, a wide open smile and curly antennae. Its large leaf-shaped wings sweep up behind a striped body, and its front legs rest on the fluffy puffball. The dandelion stem grows below, between two big pointed leaves, and on the right side of the page three loose seeds drift through the air. Bold, clean outlines and roomy shapes are friendly to little hands, and the tiny seeds give older kids a bit of a challenge. Golden yellow and soft brown stripes suit the bee, with pale blue wings and a light green stem. Print it free for a screen-free afternoon at home. Love this Flowers coloring page? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big dandelion head, the bee's head, body stripes, feet and antenna tips with bright yellow, working from the largest areas first.
- 2Color both wings sky blue, and leave the small white shine spots in the bee's eyes untouched.
- 3Color the dark stripes on the bee's body and its legs charcoal gray, keeping the edges neat around the yellow stripes.
- 4Fill the center of the dandelion and the small flower center with golden orange.
- 5Color both leaves and the long stem leaf green, so the bright flower stands out.
- 6Optional: add a little olive gold shading under the bee's belly for a bit of depth.
