Beech Leaf Tilted Diagonally With Parallel Side Veins

Coloring guide
One large leaf fills the page, tilted diagonally with its pointed tip at the upper left and a short bent stem at the lower right. A thick central midrib runs the full length, and straight side veins branch off it in neat parallel lines on both halves. The edge has small rounded scallops all the way around, which gives the outline a bumpy, hand-drawn look. The shapes are big and open, so the page works well for younger kids with chunky crayons, and the thin vein lines give older kids something to be careful with. Try coloring each section between the veins in a slightly different shade of green, yellow, or orange to show autumn changing the leaf. It is also a handy printable for a nature walk, where children can compare the drawing to real leaves and count the veins on each side.
