A large dolphin arcs up out of the water while a smaller dolphin jumps beside it, lower and to the right. Both have simple round eyes, long snouts and curved flippers, and the big one has a tall back fin and a wide tail with two points. Below them the sea is drawn as a wavy splash with jagged peaks, a tall rounded spout on the left, and a few loose droplets floating in the air. Outlines are thick and clean, so there is plenty of room for small hands. Try coloring the big dolphin in a darker gray-blue and the little one a lighter shade, then talk about how a mother and calf might swim together. The free printable also works well for practicing shading the splashes in several blues.
