A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start by filling Tom's large head and neck area with slate gray, leaving the white muzzle, chin and cheeks blank.
- 2Color Tom's big right ear and its tip with coral pink, then fill the forehead patch and lower jaw with light gray.
- 3Fill Tom's eye rings and the two large eyes with golden yellow, keeping the black pupils and the white eye shine uncolored.
- 4Color Jerry's head, ears, tail and legs with caramel brown, then add cream beige to his belly, cheek and nose.
- 5Use cherry red for Tom's open-mouth tongue and soft tan for Jerry's forehead, leaving Jerry's eye whites white.
- 6Optional: Add a few light strokes of darker gray along the edges of Tom's head and ears to make the fur look fuller.
