A big, friendly seal sits upright on a chunky block of ice, head tilted and mouth open in a happy smile, with long whiskers and round shiny eyes. Three little penguin chicks gather around. One stands on the left with its flippers out, one waddles at the bottom left with a foot raised, and one on the right looks up at the seal. Calm wavy water behind them holds two flat floating ice slabs, with tall icy cliffs and two snow-capped mountains in the distance. Large shapes and clean lines suit preschoolers, and older kids can add their own detail. Gray-blue works for the seal, black and orange for the penguins, and pale icy blues for the water and mountains. It's a free printable. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big seal body and head in light gray, leaving the eye whites, the shiny nose highlight and the whisker lines white.
- 2Fill the iceberg peaks, the ice blocks and the ice under the seal with pale ice blue, keeping the mountain snow caps white.
- 3Color the floating ice pieces in the water with sky blue, leaving their light top surfaces white.
- 4Color the three penguins' heads, backs and wings charcoal black, keeping their round bellies white.
- 5Color the penguin feet orange, and the bottom-left penguin's little flipper foot peach.
- 6Color the seal's open mouth coral pink and add a touch of light gray on the cheeks. Optional: Add a slightly darker gray along the seal's shadowed side for depth.
