Big Yawn from a Sleepy Koala in Side View

A chubby koala sits on its bottom in side view, head turned toward the right with its mouth open in a big yawn. The big nose is filled in solid black, and you can see a small curled tongue inside the open mouth. The eyes look squeezed shut, and scruffy tufts of fur stick out around the round ear and the top of the head. Short sketchy lines mark the fur on the chest, back, and legs. One front arm reaches down with long clawed fingers, and the foot at the bottom shows its toes. The outlines are bold and the body areas are wide open, which makes this a good fit for younger kids. Try soft grays and light browns for the fur, then leave the nose black as drawn. It also works well for a quick talk about why koalas sleep so much of the day.
