Bookworm Snake Reading Beneath a Giant Mushroom

Sitting coiled in the forest with big round glasses, this smiling snake holds an open picture book and reads happily. Its forked tongue peeks out, and a huge spotted mushroom cap shades its head. One page of the book shows a butterfly and two flowers, and the other shows a sunny landscape with pine trees and a winding path. Leafy ferns, small mushrooms, tiny flowers, tree trunks and four little bees surround the snake. The spots on its body and on the mushroom cap are big enough for small hands. Soft greens and yellows work for the snake, and a red or orange cap will stand out from the leaves. Print or download it for classroom time or a rainy day. Looking for more?
