Boy and Little Robot on a Swirly Doraemon Space Trip
Coloring guide
Gripping the steering wheel of a round, bubble-domed spaceship, a smiling boy with tousled hair zips along while a cheerful little robot next to him waves hello. The robot has an antenna, big round eyes, headphone-style ear pieces and a circle emblem on its chest. The ship has a clear glass dome on top and three large porthole-style wheels along its body. Swooping wavy lines and a spiral swirl fill the background, along with four-point sparkles, little stars, floating bubble-like planets and tiny specks. Small hands can handle the big shapes, and the swirls give older kids lots of detail. Sky blue for the ship and deep purples and teals for the swirls will let the yellow stars and the robot stand out. A free printable for a space-themed afternoon. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background swirls: color the wavy stripes in sky blue, royal blue, and golden yellow, leaving the spaceship and the planets for later.
- 2Fill the boy's skin and the hair with peach and chocolate brown, and make the robot's head and hand lime green, leaving the eye whites and the shiny highlights white.
- 3Color the spaceship's dome with light blue, and give the front porthole, the side portholes, and the wheels light blue and golden yellow rings. Keep the main body of the ship white.
- 4Add the red band under the windows and the bright red and orange planets in the corners, with a green planet and a few blue ones to balance the page.
- 5Finish with the small stars in marigold and tan, the robot's golden chest circle, and the boy's jacket in royal blue.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the edges of the ship and the swirls to make the colors pop.
