Watching Planes From the Tower: Blippi Page
Coloring guide
Inside an airport control tower, a curious boy with tousled hair and overalls leans on the counter and smiles out the big window at a busy runway. A large passenger jet waits by the terminal gate while two ground crew workers wave their arms next to it. Baggage carts, small service vehicles and another airliner are spread across the tarmac, and two planes cruise through a sky with puffy clouds. A tall tower and faraway hills sit in the background. Back inside, look for a radar screen, a control panel packed with buttons, a keyboard, binoculars, a pencil cup and an office chair. Kids who love planes and airports will find plenty to keep them busy on this free printable. Blue overalls and a red and white striped jet are one idea. - 2Color the distant hills and the row of trees with teal green, then add grass green and forest green to the radar screens on the left.
- 3Paint the tarmac, runways and ground vehicles with light gray, and keep the airplanes mostly white as in the example.
- 4Color the boy's overalls, bib and straps with denim blue, and the chair and desk parts with steel blue and slate blue.
- 5Fill the boy's shirt with golden yellow and his hair with chestnut brown, then add peach to his face, neck and hands.
- 6Finish the control tower and the desk details with pale blue, keeping the boy's eye whites and the plane windows white. Optional: add a little darker shading to the overalls for depth.
