Boy With Glasses and Hearing Aid Reading, Diversity & Inclusion Page
Coloring guide
Sitting cross-legged on a round floor cushion, a smiling boy with tousled hair and big round glasses holds an open picture book in both hands. There's a hearing aid behind his ear, which is a nice detail for chatting with kids about differences and inclusion. On the left page of the book a teddy bear peeks out, and the right page shows a bright sun with two puffy clouds. He's in a simple long-sleeved top, loose pants and chunky socks, and his wide eyes and open mouth show how much he likes the story. Clean, bold lines work for little ones with crayons or older kids with markers. Yellow for the sun, soft brown for the bear and cheerful blue for the cushion would all look good. Print it free for story time or a classroom reading corner. Looking for more? Our Hearts and For Kids coloring pages pair nicely with this Diversity & Inclusion page.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the hair with chestnut brown, then color the teddy bear's body, ears, arms and paws with caramel brown.
- 2Color the face, both hands, both ears, the neck and the bear's belly and snout with peach skin, and the open mouth's tongue with coral pink.
- 3Color the shirt, its collar and both sleeves sky blue, the jeans on both legs denim blue, and the sock cuffs at the ankles sky blue with the right sock in light blue.
- 4Color the cushion and the sun golden yellow, then fill both book covers and the bottom pages grass green, with the book spine and page edges in forest green.
- 5Leave the eye whites, both clouds and the white sock stripes white so they pop against the colors.
- 6Optional: add a little extra shading with a darker shade of each color along the folds of the shirt and the edges of the cushion for depth.
