Celebrating on the Track with a Running Blade: Diversity & Inclusion
Coloring guide
Racing along a curved track, a cheerful boy throws both fists in the air with a big open-mouthed smile. He's in a short-sleeved t-shirt, shorts with a side stripe and sneakers, and one of his legs is a prosthetic running blade, so this is a great pick for inclusive classrooms and homes. A smiling girl with a ponytail jogs behind him in a t-shirt, shorts and running shoes. The stadium behind them has rows of spectators in the stands, puffy trees or bushes and a tall floodlight tower, and the track's lane lines sweep across the front. Bright orange or red on the track will make the runners stand out, and a bold team color suits the boy's shirt. Print it free for sports-day themes and conversations about celebrating every kind of athlete. If you enjoyed this Diversity & Inclusion page, don't miss our Hearts and For Kids coloring pages.

- 2Color the boy's t-shirt bright blue and his shorts navy blue, then paint the girl's top hot pink and her shorts violet purple.
- 3Paint the skin areas peach skin: the boy's arms, face, ears and legs, plus the girl's face, arms and legs. Keep the boy's eye whites white.
- 4Color the stadium seats bright blue, the walls and the prosthetic leg light gray and charcoal gray, and the grass strips lime green.
- 5Add the trees and bushes in leaf green and teal, the boy's hair in chocolate brown and the girl's ponytail in golden yellow.
- 6Optional: add a little steel gray shading on the prosthetic leg and warm taupe along the track edges for depth.
