Bucket-Hatted Snowman Before a Quiet Night Village

A smiling snowman stands in the foreground of a quiet winter village, wearing a bucket-style hat and holding a long stick in one mitten. He has a long pointed carrot nose and dots down his round body for buttons. Behind him, a curving path leads up to a cluster of snow-topped houses with arched doors, small square windows, and chimneys capped with snow. A church tower with a clock and a cross rises over the rooftops. Bare trees and small leafless shrubs sit in the snowy ground. Above, a crescent moon, stars, and snowflakes fill the sky, and a border of stars, dots, and snowflakes frames the whole scene. Try coloring the sky in deep blues and purples so the moon and stars stay bright and white, then ask kids to pick warm yellow for the window lights. This free printable also works well for talking about night and day in winter.
