A round bundt cake sits on a wide plate, its ridged sides covered in thick icing that drips down in big, wavy loops. Three little five-petal flowers, each with two leaves, sit on top around the center hole. One slice is missing, which shows the soft inside of the cake dotted with small oval crumbs. Bold, clean outlines and generous open spaces make this free printable a good match for young children still building pencil control, and the ridges and drips give older kids more to work on. Pale pink icing, yellow flower centers and a golden-brown cake would look lovely. You could also leave the crumbly inside a lighter vanilla shade so the cut slice stands out on the plate. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cake body and its ridges: color the golden tan parts of the cake sides, front ridges and back ridges, leaving the lower edges of the bundt ridges a little lighter if you like.
- 2Fill the thick icing on top and its dripping edges with candy pink, going around the flowers and the hole in the middle so they stay white or brown.
- 3Color the inside of the center hole and its walls in caramel brown, with the darker shadows at the back of the opening.
- 4Paint the cut slice of cake in pale yellow, then add small dots of white inside it to suggest the crumb texture.
- 5Color the flower leaves in leaf green, and keep the flower petals white with their centers outlined and left white.
- 6Finish with the serving plate: fill the top surface in pale blue and the outer rim in sky blue. Optional: add a little darker shading under the cake where it meets the plate.
