Bunny Leaping Past Two Carrots

A round-faced bunny leaps across the page with two long floppy ears, one tipped back and one pointing out to the side, each with a smaller loop drawn inside. The face is simple, with two small dot eyes, a little oval nose, one more dot above it, and a curved smile. Its arms stretch forward, its big feet kick out behind, and a small tail sticks up at the back. Two carrots with leafy tops sit in the corners, one at the top left and one at the bottom right. The thick outlines and large open spaces make this a good fit for little hands just starting out with crayons. Try orange and green for the carrots, then ask your child to pick a fur color for the bunny and find the inner ear shapes to color a different shade. It also works well for counting practice with two ears, two carrots, and two feet.
