Five little bees with big eyes, antennae and happy faces buzz around a wooden beehive, and a sixth peeks out of the round entrance and rests on the landing board. Dotted flight trails curl behind a few of them. The hive has a slanted plank roof and stacked boxes, with a picket fence and leafy bushes behind it. Up front, tall sunflowers with seed-filled centers share space with tulips, daisies and small blossoms, and a tree branch and a puffy cloud fill the top corner. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big wooden hive body and its planks in golden yellow, leaving thin white lines between the planks as highlights.
- 2Fill the roof planks, fence posts, and landing board with light wood brown, then color the hive base in amber orange.
- 3Color the large sunflower petals in golden yellow, keeping their centers and the white daisy petals white.
- 4Add the tulips: make the two tulips on the left and the tall center one bright red, and the others soft pink.
- 5Finish the garden with leaf green, lime green, and emerald green on the leaves, bushes, and grass, and light green on the stems. Optional: add a little darker shading under the roof and along the hive edges.
