Calvary on Good Friday With Soldier and Mourners

Three wooden crosses stand side by side on a hill, each with a figure hanging from it by outstretched arms. The center cross is a little taller and has a small sign fixed at the top. The figure there wears a cloth around the waist, and a drop of blood is drawn near one hand. The two men on the side crosses also wear waist cloths, and their arms are tied to the crossbeams with rope. In front, a Roman soldier in a plumed helmet and striped armor holds a long spear and has a sword at his side. A veiled woman in a long robe stands close beside him. On the right, two robed figures stand with worried faces, and one holds a hand out. Flat stones sit on the ground around them. The cartoon style and big open shapes make it easy to color. A group could color the soldier's armor in metal tones and the robes in soft earthy colors, then talk about the Good Friday story while they work. It is a free printable that suits older kids and Sunday school lessons.
