Wooden Cross on a Mound With Torn Cloth

Wooden Cross on a Mound With Torn Cloth coloring page

Coloring guide

A tall wooden cross stands upright on a small mound of ground, with a long cloth draped over the crossbeam. The fabric hangs down on both sides, and the right side sweeps out in a long curve with a ragged, torn-looking edge. A rope or cord is wrapped in an X shape where the beam and post meet. The top of the post has a rounded cap with a small band around it. At the base, a few chunky wedges or stakes are wedged in beside the post. The outlines are bold and the shapes are big, so little hands can color them easily. For a Good Friday activity, try browns and grays for the wood, then pick one soft color for the cloth and shade the folds a little darker. The page also works well for a short talk about the meaning of the day.
