Captain Pororo Sailing Past Icebergs
Coloring guide
A little penguin in a captain's hat with an anchor badge steers a sailboat using a big wooden ship's wheel, with a rope wrapped around its neck like a scarf. The boat has a striped sail, a small pennant flag on top and a round porthole on the hull. A smiling whale spouts water on the right, and a spotted seal pops out of the waves at the bottom left. Seagulls fly overhead, chunky ice floes drift on the water, and rocky icebergs and a lighthouse on a small island fill the distance. All that wavy water leaves little ones lots of room for blue crayon strokes. Red or navy works for the captain's hat, and soft gray-blue for the whale. This free printable is a good pick for kids who like boats and sea animals, and the mix of big and small areas works for different ages. Looking for more? A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the sea: fill the water and waves with bright blue, and add light blue ripples around the boat and the seal.
- 2Color the boat hull, rails, and bench in caramel brown, and the mast in brown.
- 3Fill the sail's red stripes and the flag with coral red, leaving the white stripes of the sail white.
- 4Color the whale in deep blue, the penguin's head and flippers in charcoal gray, the seal in light gray, the life ring in orange, and the ship wheel in golden yellow.
- 5Paint the icebergs and distant mountains in very pale blue and pale blue, and the lighthouse island grass in grass green. Keep the penguin's eyes, cap, seagulls, and clouds white.
- 6Optional: add a few lines of darker blue on the water and wood for a bit of depth.
