Cardboard Rocket Bedroom Girl Power Scene

Coloring guide
A smiling girl with wavy hair and a paper crown peeks out of a big cardboard box that has become a pretend rocket ship. Stars, a round porthole window, a rocket picture and little dots decorate the box, which sits on a fluffy rug. The bedroom keeps the space theme going: a bed with a star-patterned blanket and a stuffed bunny, a shelf of books, a plant and toy rockets, planet and rocket posters, and a string of star bunting. Through the window you can see a crescent moon and starry sky, and a small astronaut toy sits on the dresser. On the floor are a teddy bear, a toy car, building blocks, a star ball and a stack of books. Red for the box, gold for the crown and deep blues and purples for the night sky would look great. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big cardboard box: fill its front panel, flaps and top edges with light tan, and color the box sides and the bottom of the box in caramel brown.
- 2Paint the room's walls and the rug with sky blue, and use navy blue for the night sky in the window and the space posters on the wall. Color the bedspread with royal blue and add pale blue to the wall shelves.
- 3Color the girl's sweater coral pink and her face and hands peach, leaving the eyes white with a tiny dot of black for the pupils. Fill the bunny and teddy bear with cream and caramel brown.
- 4Add the bright crown and the star on the box in golden yellow, then color the red fins on both sides of the box and the rocket on the right in red and medium gray.
- 5Fill the porthole ring on the box in medium gray and leave its center sky blue. Finish the rocket window in light blue and the green books in grass green.
- 6Optional: Add a little shading with a darker shade of the same color on the box sides and the bedspread to make the cardboard look more three-dimensional.
