Tufted Cartoon Flamingo Folding One Leg at the Knee

A single flamingo stands in profile on one long, thin leg, with the other leg folded up and bent at the knee. Its neck makes a tall S-curve up to a small head with a round eye, a few tufted feathers on top, and a big downturned beak with a darker tip. The body is rounded, with a wing drawn as layered feather lines and a short tail of pointed feathers hanging off the back. The webbed feet are drawn with simple toes, and the lines are bold and easy to follow. There is no background, so kids can focus on the bird. Try pink and orange shades for the body and let the wing feathers get a slightly deeper color than the chest. It also works well for a short talk about why flamingos rest on one leg.
