Sleepy Cartoon Flamingo Standing in a Round Dish

A cartoon flamingo stands tall on one long leg inside a round, shallow dish, with its other leg bent and crossing behind. Its neck curves in a big S shape, and its heavy bill bends downward with a black tip. The bird has droopy, sleepy-looking eyes and a little smile. Feathers on the back and tail are drawn with jagged edges, and a dark black stripe runs along the wing. Small puffs with squiggly lines rise from the bottom of the dish, and a few drops sit near its foot. Try coloring the body in different shades of pink and leaving the water in the dish blue. It also works well for a quick talk about why flamingos stand on one leg, and the large open areas suit younger kids with chunky crayons. The page is free to print.
