Cartoon Flamingo Standing on One Leg With Curved Neck

A cartoon flamingo stands on one leg with the other leg folded up, its foot tucked in front of the standing leg. The long neck loops into a big curve, so the head ends up near the chest with a bent beak that has a dark patch at the tip. The eye is large and a little wide, and a few feathers stick out from the back of the head like a crest. The wing is drawn as a big rounded shape with pointed feathers along the edge, and there are small feather lines on the chest. The outlines are thick and clean, which makes this a good fit for crayons and markers. Try coloring the body in different shades of pink, then use one bright color for the wing feathers so each pointed tip stands out. It also works well for talking about why flamingos balance on one leg. This printable page is easy for younger kids to handle.
