Cartoon Hen Standing on Grassy Patch

A plump hen stands with her feet spread wide on a small curved mound of grass. Her head faces right, with a small round eye, a pointed beak, a jagged comb on top and a wattle hanging under her chin. The body is rounded and covered in feathery, zigzag edges, with tall layered feathers fanning up at the back and a folded wing drawn across her side. An egg shape is outlined on her body near the wing. Her thin legs end in big, spread toes with lines along the legs. Tufts of grass run across the bottom edge. The wide open spaces are easy for little hands to fill in. Try coloring the feathers in several warm shades, like orange, brown and gold, so each zigzag stands out.
