Running Rooster Crowing Mid-Stride

Coloring guide
A plump cartoon rooster is caught mid-stride, with its legs stretched out front and back and its beak open as if it is crowing. It has a wavy comb on top of its head, a wattle under the beak, and a round eye with a small highlight. The wing is drawn with striped feathers and a rounded section with oval cutouts. A tall, curved tail made of long feather lines sweeps up behind the body. Jagged lines mark the neck feathers, and small scalloped feather marks sit on the chest and lower body. The clawed feet have several toes each. The outlines are bold and the shapes are large, so younger kids can stay inside the lines. Try coloring each tail feather in a different shade, then ask kids to point out which parts of the rooster they used the brightest colors on. This free printable also works well for a farm animal lesson.
