Cherry Blossom Cats in Martial Arts Uniforms
Coloring guide
Two cats, one big and one little, stand side by side in karate uniforms with their fists raised. The bigger cat plants its feet wide, wears a knotted belt with long ends, and has a calm smile. Next to it, the kitten copies the pose with an open, happy mouth and a smaller belt at the waist. Cherry blossom branches with flowers and buds curve across the top corners, petals drift down to the ground, and a few grass tufts sit along the bottom. Large uniform areas are easy to fill in, and the petals are good fine-motor practice. Pale pink blossoms look pretty, and each cat could get its own belt, say orange for the big one and green for the kitten. Grab it as a free PDF for a screen-free activity. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the two cats' heads, ears, tails and paws in tabby orange, leaving the eye whites and muzzle highlights white.
- 2Color the cat fists and the small cat's collar and paws in golden yellow.
- 3Fill the cherry blossom flowers and petals in blush pink, and the inner ears and falling petals in coral pink.
- 4Color both belts and belt knots in charcoal gray, and add the forehead stripe in rust orange.
- 5Keep the karate uniforms white, and leave the trousers, lapels and eye shine untouched to show the white fabric.
- 6Optional: Add a little rose pink to the darkest petals and a light shade of orange along the cats' tails for depth.
