A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with Tom's body, head, arms and legs in slate gray, leaving the white gloves, feet and muzzle untouched.
- 2Fill Tom's belly and the light stripe along his leg with pale silver, and color his inner ears soft pink.
- 3Color Jerry's big ear, head and body in warm brown, then fill his raised arm and legs too.
- 4Paint Jerry's face, neck and lower foot in light tan, and his open mouth in bright red, keeping the eye whites white.
- 5Add Tom's eyes in golden yellow and Jerry's nose in warm brown, leaving the eye whites and glove highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading on the bottom of Tom's legs and Jerry's body to make them pop.
