Here's a happy bunny dressed as a cheerleader. One paw waves a fluffy pom-pom high up, and the other hugs a large heart. She has a V-neck top, a pleated skirt, and a big bow between her tall ears. Look for the long lashes, whiskers, and open smiling mouth too. Small hearts and stars drift around her on a plain background, so there's lots of space for kids to add their own ideas. The skirt pleats and pom-pom strips are good practice for coloring small sections. Pink works nicely for the bow, skirt, and big heart, and yellow or purple will make the pom-pom pop. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big bunny face in light tan, then fill the raised arm, both legs, and the neck and hand in caramel brown.
- 2Color the big heart, the bow, and the pom-pom stripes in bubblegum pink, leaving the bow center and the top of the pom-pom for the next step.
- 3Fill the inner ears, the nose, the tongue, and the small hearts in light pink, and use soft lilac and lavender purple on the top strips of the pom-pom.
- 4Paint the cheerleader top and pleated skirt in cornflower blue, keeping the white stripe at the waist and the white collar trim and fluffy tutu bit white.
- 5Color the stars in golden yellow, with one pale yellow star at the bottom right, and add the blue pom-pom strips to finish the pom-pom.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade along one side of the ears, arm, and skirt for a little depth.
