Chef Cat Tossing Pizza Dough in a Cozy Kitchen
Coloring guide
A striped cat in a tall chef's hat and apron grins up at a round piece of dough spinning above its raised paws. The kitchen behind it has a window with a potted plant on the sill, cabinets, and a shelf with a lidded jar, plus a spatula and a spoon hanging below. Up front on the counter, an open sack of flour sits next to a rolling pin, with little puffs of flour all around. Look for the curled, ringed tail and the bow on the apron, which are nice small details for little hands. A bright red or sunny yellow hat and apron will make the cat stand out, and the dough looks good in warm golden tan. Print it whenever you need a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the cat: fill the head, body, raised paws and tail with tangerine orange, leaving the eye whites and the pale muzzle area white.
- 2Color the apron in royal blue on the straps and skirt, keeping the bib and the bow white so they stand out.
- 3Paint the kitchen background: sky blue for the cabinets and counter edges, and pale blue for the window glass and counter tops.
- 4Fill the flour sack, the flying dough, the storage jar and the flour pile with cream, then add caramel brown to the rolling pin, windowsill and shelf.
- 5Color the plant leaves and stem leaf green, the flower pot tomato red, and the spatula, spoon and utensil rack light gold.
- 6Finish the details: soft pink inside the cat ears and mouth, rose pink on the nose, brick red on the tongue, and the chef hat band very light blue. Optional: add a little darker orange shading along the tail and under the paws for depth.
