Pizza Dough and a Smiling Tomato on a Cutting Board
Coloring guide
The first thing little ones will notice is the cheerful tomato with its big smile and sparkly eyes, sitting at the top left of a wooden cutting board. A large round ball of pizza dough takes up the middle. Around it are a wedge of cheese with round holes, a bell pepper with a curved stem, two sliced mushrooms, one olive and a few basil leaves. The board has a hole in the handle and wood grain lines down its surface. Shapes are big and outlines are clean, so preschoolers and early elementary kids can practice crayon control here. Bright red works for the tomato, golden yellow for the cheese, and green for the basil. Print it free, no sign-up needed. Kids who like Pizza coloring pages usually enjoy Baby and Hearts too.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the whole cutting board, its handle and its wood grain edges with light brown, leaving the handle hole white.
- 2Fill the tomato, the bell pepper and their stems with tomato red, leaving the shine on the tomato white and the leaves for later.
- 3Color the cheese block bright yellow, then fill its round holes with amber orange.
- 4Fill the basil leaves with leaf green and the olive with olive green, adding a few darker lines for the leaf veins.
- 5Color the mushrooms pale cream, and leave the big dough ball white so it stands out on the board.
- 6Optional: add a little darker shading along one side of the tomato and pepper to make them look rounder.
