Two Little Mice Sharing One Giant Pizza Slice

Two mice sit side by side, each holding one edge of a pizza slice that's nearly as big as they are. They have big round ears, wide eyes, tiny noses, whiskers and happy open smiles. Curly tails poke out on either side and their small feet point forward. The slice has a thick crust across the top and round pepperoni in different sizes, with a few little oval dots in between. A simple wall behind them has a small arched mouse-hole door, and straight lines on the floor add some depth. Younger kids will like the large pepperoni circles, while older ones can take on the whiskers and tails. Warm red pepperoni, golden-yellow cheese and a toasty brown crust would look great. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big background: fill the wall behind the mice with sky blue and the floor at the bottom with light sand, leaving the pool ladder opening white.
- 2Color the ladder sides bright blue and the back ear of the left mouse slate blue.
- 3Fill both mice with light gray, including heads, bodies, paws and outer ears, and add pale silver to the whisker areas.
- 4Color the pizza crust toasty brown and the cheese golden yellow.
- 5Paint the pepperoni circles tomato red, then fill the inner ears, feet and tails with soft pink.
- 6Optional: leave the eye whites and small shine spots white, and add a few darker strokes on the gray bodies for depth.
