Waving Child in a Round Submarine, Octonauts Underwater

Coloring guide
A smiling child wearing a headset and a small backpack waves from the big round porthole of a chubby little submarine. The sub has a periscope on top, a row of rivets along its dome, two large round windows underneath, and a propeller at the back. Two striped fish swim nearby, one at the upper right and one at the lower left, and bubbles of different sizes rise through the water. Along the bottom there's wavy seaweed, a few pebbles, and a dotted sandy seabed. Large shapes and clear outlines are great for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and older children can take on the rivets and stripes. Sunny yellow for the submarine, orange and white stripes on the fish, and a few different greens for the seaweed would all work. It's a free printable that's a good pick for an ocean-themed afternoon. Fans of Octonauts coloring pages often like Dragon Ball Z and My Little Pony as well.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big round submarine body, including the lower hull and tail-side edges, in golden yellow, leaving the window rings for later.
- 2Fill the two round lower windows, the large round window glass, and the bubbles in pale blue, then use bright blue for the porthole rings, rivets, and the top hatch band.
- 3Color the child's face and waving hand in peach skin, the hair in chestnut brown, and the spacey suit in light blue with bright blue trim around the helmet.
- 4Make the orange fish and its fins orange, keeping the white stripe unpainted, then color the periscope pipe and gray rocks light gray and the red top cap and tail pipe in tomato red.
- 5Fill the seaweed with leaf green, with the right blade in lime green, and color the fish bodies and fins bright blue or golden yellow as in the example.
- 6Optional: Add light shading along one side of the submarine and seaweed with a slightly darker tone of the same color to give depth.
