Four Animal Astronauts Waving from a Round Octonauts Pod

Coloring guide
Everyone on the railed deck of this round, porthole-style pod is waving hello. There are four little animal friends in puffy space suits and clear helmets. At the top left is a whiskered, seal-like pup with big round ears, and at the top right is a pointy-eared fox or cat. Underneath, a penguin-like bird with a striped beak stands next to a spiky hedgehog. Each suit has a chest panel waiting for color. The vessel itself has a small antenna on top and a big round window, with bubbles of different sizes floating around it and wavy seaweed along the bottom. Big shapes and clear outlines keep it friendly for preschoolers and early elementary kids. Sunny orange is a natural fit for the fox, soft blue works for the bubbles and seaweed, and giving each friend a different suit color makes them easy to tell apart. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big round pod: fill its body and top dome with sunny yellow, leaving the small bubbles and the white highlights on the porthole windows uncolored.
- 2Color the thick rings and railings around the pod and the arch above the animals in tangerine orange, and paint the back wall inside the pod in sky blue.
- 3Fill the seaweed at the bottom with leaf green, but keep the far-left strands white for contrast.
- 4Color the four astronaut suits and helmet rims in tangerine orange, then add the seal in warm brown, the cat in light gray, the hedgehog in cream beige, and the penguin in navy blue with a white face.
- 5Finish with the bubbles in pale blue and the dark-brown seal hand, leaving the eye whites, teeth and small shine spots white. Optional: add a little darker shading along the edges of the pod for depth.
