Chocolate Bar Dress Shoppies Doll with Drippy Bow
Coloring guide
With her arms out to the sides and her mouth open in a cheerful, surprised look, this big-eyed doll is ready for color. A large bow tops her head, with icing-style drips along its edges and a little heart in the center. Wavy hair with side-swept bangs falls past her shoulders. The short dress is made to look like a chocolate bar, with square segments on the skirt and a gooey melted drip running over the top and down the front. Her chunky shoes have matching squares on the soles and drippy tops. The background is plain white, so little colorers won't get distracted. Bold outlines and large shapes work well for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and the drips and squares give older kids small details to tackle. Rich browns fit the dress and shoes, and a bright pink or red bow adds contrast. Download the free PDF to grow your collection. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big skin areas: color the face, neck, arms, hands, and legs in peach skin, leaving the eye whites and the small teeth white.
- 2Fill the hair with golden yellow, covering the top, sides, and the curls that fall past the shoulders.
- 3Color the dress bodice and shoulders in hot pink, then add the deep rose drips running down the front and left side.
- 4Use sky blue for the chocolate-block skirt and the shoe blocks, and blush pink for the light block near the center of the skirt.
- 5Color the bow loops and tails in blush pink and soft pink, the heart brooch in bright magenta, and keep the small shine on the top loop white.
- 6Finish the shoes with hot pink straps and soft pink tops. Optional: add a few darker strokes in the hair and along the dress edges for depth.
