This page gathers five holiday shapes in one spot, all drawn with bold lines that are easy to follow. Up in the top left you'll find a round bauble with stripes and a row of three stars across its middle. Beside it is a smiling star ornament with a happy face and dots on each point. Underneath, a bell ornament carries three hearts and a little ball clapper. A striped candy cane takes the center, and down in the bottom right corner a cheerful gingerbread man stands with his bow tie, buttons and zigzag icing lines. Younger kids with chunky crayons will like the big open areas, and older kids can spend time on the stripes and icing. Red and white would look great on the candy cane, warm brown on the gingerbread man, and a sunny yellow on the smiling star. Print the free PDF at home whenever you need a quick coloring break. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the gingerbread man's body, arms and legs with warm brown, leaving the white icing squiggles on the arms and legs untouched.
- 2Color the big bauble body cherry red, then add golden yellow for the top stripe and the three star shapes, and forest green for the two stripes below.
- 3Paint the bottom of the bauble and the bottom edge of the bell antique gold, keeping the bauble top cap golden yellow.
- 4Color the bell top and lower band golden yellow, the middle band cherry red with the heart cutouts left white, and the thin band above the hearts forest green.
- 5Fill the star with golden yellow and add cherry red dots on its points, keeping the eye whites and smile unchanged. Color the candy cane red and leave its wavy stripes white.
- 6Finish the gingerbread bow in cherry red and add two forest green buttons. Optional: add a slightly darker shade along one side of each shape for a little depth.
