Overflowing Christmas Stocking with Teddy and Toys

A gentle color plan to get started — mix in your own anytime.

A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.

1. 1Fill the main stocking body and the top part of the sock with tomato red, leaving the fluffy white cuff at the top untouched.
2. 2Color the toe and heel sections and the snowflake band with emerald green, then add the two golden yellow stripes above and below the band.
3. 3Color the teddy bear in caramel brown, add peach to the muzzle and inner ears, and use dark brown for the belly and bright red for the bow tie.
4. 4Color the train engine and its cab in emerald green and royal blue, add sky blue to the cab, pale blue for the window, and golden yellow for the wheel hubs and roof trim.
5. 5Fill the gift box with emerald green and its ribbon and bow with golden yellow, then color the candy cane red stripes tomato red and leave the stripes near the top white.
6. 6Optional: Add a little darker shade along the edges of the stocking and bear with a second layer of the same colors, and leave the snowflakes and highlights white.
