Tightrope Walking Kids Under the Big Top, The Greatest Showman
Coloring guide
The heart of this page is a boy and a girl who face each other while crossing a tightrope high above the circus ring. He's in a small hat, buttoned jacket with shoulder trim, bow tie and striped trousers, and he holds a long balance pole. She wears a ruffled, scalloped skirt, a flower in her hair and lace-up shoes, and she carries a frilly parasol. Star-covered tent walls, bunting flags, pennants on tall poles and a center tent pole fill the background. Below you'll spot rows of audience seats, a curtained entrance topped with a star, and a star-marked ring with rope barriers around it. Deep red and gold would suit the costumes, with purple or blue for the tent. Download it as a free PDF for a screen-free activity at home. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big tent background: fill the wavy tent panels and the top stripes with lemon yellow, leaving the top corners white.
- 2Color the striped tent sections on the left and right sides with tomato red, and use fire red for the darker red areas near the ring floor.
- 3Fill the center pole and the tall posts with royal blue, and add soft blue to the ring posts and bottom edge.
- 4Color the faces and skin areas with peach skin, then add the hat band and the pink umbrella handle.
- 5Use royal blue for the curtain at the center stage and tomato red for the curtain sides, and add the ring star in fire red.
- 6Optional: Leave the umbrella canopy and the small background gaps white for a bright, airy look.
