Color By Number Butterfly Activity Sheets with Daisy
Coloring guide
A smiling butterfly with round-tipped antennae rests on top of a big daisy-style flower. Every space has a number to guide young colorists. The upper wings are 1, the lower wings are 2 and the striped body is 3. Small circles along the wing edges are 4, and all six flower petals are 5. Two green leaves sit at the bottom next to the stem. Matching numbers to colors is great practice for preschoolers and kindergarteners learning their numbers, and teachers can use it as a quiet center activity. Sunny yellow for the 1s and pink for the 5 petals makes a nice start, and the rest is up to you. Print it at home for some screen-free time. - light pink
- lavender purple
- sky blue
- golden yellow
- leaf green
- caramel brown
- tangerine orange
A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big wings: fill the outer edges of all four wings with sky blue, and color the inner upper wing shapes with light pink.
- 2Color the inner lower wing shapes with lavender purple, leaving the small circles on the wings for later.
- 3Paint the body in sections: the top part and head area in golden yellow, the middle in caramel brown, and the lower tip in tangerine orange.
- 4Fill the daisy petals with hot pink, the flower center with golden yellow, and the two leaves and stem with leaf green.
- 5Finish with the small circles on the wings in golden yellow, the antenna balls in hot pink, and the open mouth in hot pink. Leave the small gaps around the body and between the leaves white.
- 6Optional: add light shading with a darker shade of each color along one side of each shape for a bit more depth.
