Connecticut Grapevines and Latin Motto on a State Flag

Coloring guide
A rectangular flag outline holds a decorative shield in the center, topped with a small leafy flourish and framed by curling scrolled edges. Inside the shield, three grapevines stand on little ground lines, two across the top and one centered below. Each vine twists around a post and carries leaves and hanging bunches of grapes. Small round grape clusters and leaves sit on both sides and at the bottom point of the shield. A wavy ribbon stretches beneath it with the Latin words QUI TRANSTULIT SUSTINET in outlined block letters, and the ribbon tails flare out at each end. Kids can color the shield and ribbon in any shades they like, then look up what the motto means and talk about how the three vines are arranged. The thick outlines and open spaces make this a good printable for a state studies lesson.
