Swan Ride With Cupid Across a Heart Pond

Sitting sideways on a big swan's back, a curly-haired little cupid with feathered wings holds a small bow and smiles as they glide over the water. The swan has layered wing feathers, a long curved neck, and a tiny heart marking by its eye. The pond is full of detail: small hearts on the ripples, lily pads, blooming water lilies, and tall reeds and leafy bushes along the far shore. Bubbles dot the water too. Feathers and ripples offer plenty of tiny spaces, so steady crayon or colored pencil work suits it best. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the cupid's skin, arms, and legs with peach skin, leaving the shorts and diaper white.
- 2Fill the cupid's curly hair with golden yellow, then color the bow and its grip brown and the wood tip honey gold.
- 3Color the swan's beak orange and the arrow bright red, keeping the wings and body of the swan white.
- 4Color the grass, bushes, and lily pads with grass green, and the lotus flowers with soft pink and hot pink petals.
- 5Color the big heart and smaller hearts with cherry red, and add bright blue to the water ripples and small water dots, leaving the water highlights white.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of the same color along the edges of the swan's wings and the lotus petals to make them look more rounded.
