Heart Balloon Cupid Waving From the Basket

Floating in a heart-shaped hot air balloon, a curly-haired little Cupid leans out of a woven brick-pattern basket and waves happily. He has small feathered wings and a quiver of arrows on his back, and he holds a bow in his other hand. A band of hearts crosses the balloon, and more hearts decorate the front of the basket, which has scalloped trim. Three little birds fly close by, fluffy clouds drift past, and rolling hills with bushes and two tall trees fill the ground below. The wide balloon stripes make easy sections for small hands, while the brick basket and clouds give older kids more to work on. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Color the big balloon panels with cherry red and golden yellow in alternating stripes, keeping the center panel red.
- 2Fill the wide ribbon band across the balloon with sky blue, then color the small hearts on it cherry red.
- 3Color the basket with warm brown bricks, add sky blue swags along the top, and fill the heart shapes on the basket with cherry red.
- 4Color the cupid's curly hair golden yellow and his face, chest, arm and hand peach. Leave the wings, bow, arrows and waving hand white.
- 5Color the clouds pale blue, the hills and bushes grass green and light green, and the trees forest green. Keep the sky and birds white.
- 6Optional: add a slightly darker shade of the same color along one side of each balloon panel to make it look rounder.
