Four Cupids Around a Heart Castle With Rainbows

Four curly-haired cupids with little wings gather around a tall fairy-tale castle in this Valentine scene. At the top left, one flies with a bow and heart-tipped arrow, and another on the right aims a bow as well. A third on the left smiles and hugs a big heart. The fourth, at the bottom right, kneels and waters a heart-shaped tree from a watering can. The castle has heart-shaped windows, scalloped rooftops, flags, and double doors with hearts on them. It sits on puffy clouds, and a winding path lined with heart signs leads to the steps. Rainbows, stars, floating hearts, and flowers fill the rest of the page. All the small spaces work well for crayons or fine markers. Pink and red hearts, soft purple castle roofs, and a bright rainbow across the sky would look great. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the big sky and cloud areas: fill the clouds at the bottom and sides with soft teal gray, and the small clouds in the corners with pale sky blue, leaving the sky background white.
- 2Color the castle walls and towers in blush pink, then fill the roofs of the tallest towers with soft purple and the heart-shaped window at the top with hot pink.
- 3Paint the rainbow bands in order: bright red on the outside, golden yellow, grass green, and sky blue on the inside, then add the cupids' skin in peach and the sunny yellow curly hair.
- 4Fill the grass and bushes in grass green and forest green, add mint green for the lower bushes, and color the castle door and garden path in warm brown and pale butter yellow.
- 5Finish with the details: color the hearts in bright red and the flags in hot pink, and leave the cupids' bodies, wings, bow, tree trunk, and water drops white. Optional: add a little shading under the clouds and on the castle walls to make it pop.
