A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the big turtle head and both arms with soft green, leaving the small eye highlights white.
- 2Color the open book covers and the book spine with royal blue, and the tall book stack on the left in cherry red and cream.
- 3Use caramel brown for the turtle shell on both sides and dark brown for the shell edges and the bookshelf.
- 4Color the telescopes with pale sky blue and medium blue, then add the golden yellow and butter yellow belly and book band.
- 5Add coral pink to the cheeks and mouth, and leave the quill feather and eye shines white.
- 6Optional: Add a light shadow of olive green along the lower edge of the shell for depth.
