Peeking out of a cracked eggshell with its two front paws on the broken rim, this smiling baby turtle has lots of personality. Big sparkly eyes, a wide open grin and a little tuft of hair on its head do most of the work. The patterned shell sits behind it with a small round knob on top, and cracks run down the front of the egg. The egg rests in sand dotted with pebbles and tiny specks. A scallop shell is in the bottom left corner, a spiral seashell sits behind the egg, and a starfish with a dotted pattern is at the bottom right. - 1Color the turtle's head, both flippers, and the head crest with lime green, leaving the eyes white.
- 2Fill the turtle's shell plates with forest green, and color the antenna stem with forest green too.
- 3Paint the antenna ball and the belly with golden yellow and pale yellow, and color the open mouth with coral pink.
- 4Fill the egg shell with cream white, then color the scallop shell with violet purple and light lavender in alternating ridges.
- 5Color the starfish with bright orange, and the conch shell with peach at the tip, burnt orange in the middle, and soft orange at the bottom. Color the small pebble light gray.
- 6Optional: Add a little darker shading along the edges of the shell plates and the egg to make the drawing feel more dimensional.
