Sweet Giraffe Snacking on a Leafy Twig

Coloring guide
With big eyes looking right at you, this baby giraffe happily nibbles a leafy twig and wears a sweet smile. It has long eyelashes, shiny round eyes, two fluffy ossicones, and big ears. Rounded patches cover its face and long neck, and a scalloped mane runs down the back of the neck. The leaves in its mouth are large and simple, so little hands can fill them in with ease. With no background, the giraffe stays the focus and there's lots of white space. Soft yellow for the body, orange-brown patches, and fresh green leaves is a nice combo. Thick outlines work well with crayons or markers for preschoolers and early elementary kids. This free PDF makes a calm activity at home or school. Kids who like Giraffe coloring pages usually enjoy Wolves and Lion too.

- 1Color the giraffe's head, neck, and face with golden yellow, leaving the eye whites and eye shines white.
- 2Fill the muzzle and nose area with cream so the snout looks soft and light.
- 3Color the inside of both ears with pale pink.
- 4Color the big patches on the head, cheeks, and neck with caramel brown.
- 5Fill the bumpy mane along the back of the neck with chocolate brown.
- 6Color both leaves and the twig with leaf green, keeping the thin line down the middle of the leaves white. Optional: add a little darker green along one edge of each leaf for depth.
