Cute Baby Koala Hugging a Branch to Color

A round-faced baby koala sits turned slightly to one side, looking out at you with two big black eyes that each have a small white shine. The nose is a large solid black oval, and a tiny curved mouth sits just below it. Two big fluffy ears frame the head, each with jagged fur lines inside and along the edges, and a little tuft of fur sticks up on top of the head. The koala holds on to a thin stick or branch with one paw, while the rounded belly, hind leg, and foot curl around the bottom of the page. The outlines are clean and thick, so the large open spaces are easy for small hands to fill in. Try soft grays and light browns for the body, then use a darker shade just inside the ears to make the fluffy fur stand out. It also works well for a quick lesson on Australian animals.
