Bedtime Story Bulbasaur Reading Under the Moon

A little Bulbasaur sits on the ground holding an open book in both hands and smiling as it reads. Its bulb and small leaf are outlined in clean, bold lines. Up in the top left there's a crescent moon, with a star on each side of the creature, which gives the whole page a calm bedtime feel. Small tufts of grass tuck into the bottom corners. Big shiny eyes and a round head are simple to color, and the book's pages leave room for careful shading. For a cozy look, go with soft greens on the bulb and leaf, pale yellow for the moon and stars, and a bright color for the book cover. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Fill the head, body, arms, hands and feet with pale green, leaving the two big eye highlights white.
- 2Color the open book and its cover in sky blue, then fill the crescent moon and both stars with golden yellow.
- 3Color the big bulb on top of the head and the upper part of the back spines in light pink, then add rose red to the lower bulb petals and the tail shapes.
- 4Fill the leaves at the back with leaf green and the grass tufts at the bottom with grass green.
- 5Add cream to the little toe pads on the feet, keeping the lines crisp.
- 6Optional: add a few darker strokes of pale green or rose red along the edges of the body and petals for a bit of depth.
