Here's Bulbasaur crouched low on a skateboard, big eyes and a big smile, rolling along a wooden skate ramp while little speed lines trail behind the wheels. The bud on its back, a leaf and the spots along its side all have clean, bold outlines that small hands can follow easily. A round sun with long rays sits above the ramp next to a fluffy cloud. Plank lines run across the ramp's side and surface, so it's a nice spot to practice coloring neatly. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the cloud and the sun using light sky blue for the cloud and golden yellow for the sun, leaving the sun's center glow for the last layer.
- 2Color the whole Bulbasaur body, head, paws and back ear in mint green, keeping the big white eye shines and eye whites untouched.
- 3Fill the bulb on its back and the leaves with leaf green, using a slightly darker stroke near the edges for depth.
- 4Color the ramp surface and its side edges with wood tan, then fill the darker side panels and base with brown.
- 5Add royal blue to the skateboard deck and bottom, and use coral pink for the wheels with red on one wheel.
- 6Finish with pink on the open mouth and cheeks, and add leaf green spots on the back. Optional: add a little darker green along the body edges for shading.
