A fluffy little chick with big sparkly eyes and a happy open beak stands beside a giant egg. One wing is tucked against its side, and a small tuft of feathers sits on top of its head. The tall egg is decorated in bands, with a flower at the top, a large flower in the middle surrounded by swirls and leaf shapes, and another flower near the bottom. Tulips grow on the left and right edges, and a few grass tufts line the ground. Open spaces on the egg are good for little hands, and the swirls and petals give older kids something to work on. A suggested order, zone by zone — skip around as you like.
- 1Start with the chick's fluffy body, head, and wings in lemon yellow, leaving the background between the legs white.
- 2Fill the egg with sky blue, leaving the flower petals and the little highlight in the chick's eye white.
- 3Color the wide bands across the egg and the chick's two legs and feet in golden orange and tangerine orange.
- 4Paint the three flowers' centers lemon yellow and the leaves on the egg in leaf green.
- 5Add the tulips in rose pink, a lime green grass tuft by the chick's foot, and the leaf green grass blades at the bottom.
- 6Optional: Finish with a touch of coral red on the open beak and a few soft peach strokes on the lower egg band for extra depth.
